Belarus to hold tactical exercises with live fire
In Belarus, tactical military exercises with live firing will take place in four regions from April 9 to 11, according to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.
It is noted that the units will practice:
- repelling the advance of a notional enemy;
- destroying illegal armed groups and reconnaissance-diversionary groups;
- inflicting damage on enemy advance units;
- providing fire support for the troops.
"This is a key stage in checking combat readiness, the results of which will evaluate the units' ability to perform tasks as assigned in various conditions," the Ministry of Defense said.
The exercises will take place in the Vitebsk, Grodno, Brest, and Mogilev regions.
Belarus's role in Russia's war against Ukraine
Belarus is assisting Russia in the war against Ukraine. At the outset of the full-scale invasion, Russian terrorists attacked our country, including from Belarusian territory. At that time, the enemy captured parts of the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. Later, our soldiers regained territory. Also, the Russians used Belarus to launch missile strikes against our country.
In particular, Alexander Lukashenko recently said that his country is preparing for war despite the fact that it "doesn't want to go to war."
