Belarus voiced a cynical warning to Ukraine, promising a harsh response if the shared border is crossed.
“If the border is, so to speak, crossed without permission or in an aggressive manner, we will respond using our full potential and all our capabilities. And our Ukrainian neighbors know that,” Igor Sekreta, deputy head of the Belarusian foreign ministry, told Russian media.
He also warned about the red lines that had been previously defined.
“The red lines were clearly defined by our president; this is our border,” he added.
Sekreta added that the West is aware that an attack on an “allied state” would have serious consequences and prompt an immediate response.
Meanwhile, Belarus is simultaneously strengthening its own positions along the border. Minsk is erecting fortifications and setting up facilities in cooperation with Russian military personnel.
The shutdown of repeaters on the Belarusian side could affect the enemy’s communications coverage in Ukraine’s border regions.
The Russians will no longer be able to control drones in real time, but attacks will continue based solely on GPS coordinates.
