Belarus leader Lukashenko declares readiness for major deal with US

Minsk is waiting for proposals from the United States for a large-scale deal. However, there's no compromise when it comes to the relations with Russia and China, according to Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, Belta reports.
"We'll be waiting for their global proposals, a big deal, as they like to call it. We're ready for this. We're ready to make a big deal with them," Lukashenko said.
He insisted on "equal conditions" for negotiations.
"I think Donald Trump's proposals in this regard are absolutely normal. But our interests must also be taken into account. Everything should be fair, as we once agreed with the Americans," he added.
Lukashenko emphasized that Minsk should clearly define its own priorities in relations with the United States.
"Given the progress in contacts with Washington, we need to develop a further algorithm for Belarus–US relations in the long term. At the same time, we must clearly define our priorities," he said.
According to Lukashenko, Belarus must maintain a balance of interests while honoring its international commitments.
"It’s important that our actions in no way harm Belarus–Russia or Belarus–China relations, or our obligations to other friendly countries," he stressed.
Lukashenko proposes a roadmap for relations with the US
Lukashenko said it’s necessary to develop a clear plan for cooperation with Washington.
"Perhaps we need to work out some kind of a roadmap for our relations with the Americans and outline the issues that will be raised by both sides during negotiations, and formalize it at the highest level," he stated.
Earlier, with US mediation, the Belarusian regime released several opposition figures, while the US lifted sanctions on Belavia.
US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said that Washington's talks with Belarus were primarily aimed at maintaining communication channels with Vladimir Putin.
