Battle for Pokrovsk: Special forces launch a series of strikes on Russian positions in Donetsk region

Units of the Special Operations Forces, using Middle Strike drones, carried out a series of attacks on enemy targets conducting offensive operations toward the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration, according to the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the report, in the city of Pokrovsk itself, an important enemy position that had provided the Russian army with a significant tactical advantage on the battlefield was destroyed.
The elevation at the industrial facility had been used by enemy snipers who kept a large area under fire control.
The building also served as a gathering point for enemy personnel. The SOF destroyed the key position and enemy manpower with a successful strike by a Middle Strike loitering munition drone.
In the village of Shakhove, a concentration point for assault groups of the Russian army was identified and destroyed. At the moment of the strike, the building was occupied by personnel of the 336th Separate Guards Marine Brigade.
It is noted that this unit has been tasked with closing the encirclement around Pokrovsk from the north. Several SOF drones successfully hit the target.
In the village of Sontsivka, a temporary deployment point and an ammunition depot used by the strike UAV crew of the 6th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Russian Armed Forces were hit. SOF drones destroyed enemy personnel.
In the city of Dokuchaievsk, an enemy ammunition depot was destroyed. The Russian army had used the facility as a storage, distribution, and loading point for munitions of the troop grouping advancing on Pokrovsk.
In the village of Rybynske, the location of a logistics unit of the Russian Armed Forces’ “Vostok” grouping was successfully struck. Former production and warehouse premises had been converted into a military site.
The enemy had set up engineering and fortification structures on the industrial grounds. For an extended period, increased activity of military cargo vehicles had been observed. After priority targets were identified, SOF drones carried out successful strikes on several facilities at the site.
Fighting for Pokrovsk
As a reminder, the Pokrovsk axis remains the epicenter of fighting in the Donetsk region. Russian forces are attempting to encircle Pokrovsk from several directions and are sending additional troops to the area.
The occupiers took advantage of unfavorable weather conditions, including thick fog, and infiltrated Pokrovsk. More than 300 invaders are currently in the city.
At the same time, Ukrainian forces are conducting counteroffensive actions and defending their positions.
According to the Airmobile Forces, Ukrainian defenders are holding positions in central Pokrovsk and have cleared enemy troops from the areas around the railway station, the pedagogical college, and Soborna Square. The Russians are unable to gain a foothold.
