Despite their defeat in the Club World Cup final, players from French side PSG continue to dominate the rankings of favorites for the year's top individual award—the Ballon d'Or—according to GiveMeSport.

Who are the top 3 contenders?

At the top of the list remains the winger for the Champions League winners and the French national team, Ousmane Dembélé.

Following him is Barcelona and Spain's young winger Lamine Yamal, while third place goes to another PSG player, Portuguese midfielder Vitinha.

The top 5 also includes another Barcelona player, Raphinha, and Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah, who is the only Premier League representative among the top ten.

Is Cole Palmer on the list?

In addition to Dembélé and Vitinha, four more PSG players are in the top 10: Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, and Achraf Hakimi.

Meanwhile, Cole Palmer from England's Chelsea, despite an excellent performance in the Club World Cup final, is not currently among the main contenders for the award. He is ranked 14th on the list.
