Austria to provide Ukraine with €7 million for demining and grain delivery

Austria will allocate €5 million to Ukraine for demining farmland and €2 million for grain delivery under the Grain from Ukraine program, stated Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger during her visit to Kyiv.
According to her, Austria will provide €5 million to support the demining of agricultural land and €2 million to deliver Ukrainian grain to Middle Eastern countries that need it.
"For Meinl-Reisinger, the trip to Kyiv is her first real foreign visit in her new position, as Brussels, which she visited last week, is not technically considered a visit to another country," the publication notes
Upon arriving in Kyiv, the Austrian Foreign Minister, together with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance for fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
Meinl-Reisinger’s visit agenda includes meetings with Ukrainian leadership, including Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Austria's aid to Ukraine
Austria condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine but does not provide military aid to Kyiv because of its neutrality. At the same time, the country is actively helping in the humanitarian sphere.
In particular, in May 2024, Austria decided to create a special fund worth 500 million euros to support exports and investment in Ukraine.
