Attack on Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kramatorsk: Russia kills more than 20 Ukrainians in one evening

Russia attacked civilians in Ukraine this evening, May 5. The enemy targeted Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kramatorsk.

Strike on Zaporizhzhia
Around 4:10 p.m. Kyiv time, Russian guided aerial bombs struck Zaporizhzhia. The enemy targeted civilian infrastructure, setting cars, a shop, and a business on fire.
Later, it became known that residential buildings, a service station, and a car wash were also damaged as a result of the strike. Rescuers and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Seven people are currently in hospitals after being injured in the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia, while some others are still undergoing the necessary medical examinations. Since the attack, the number of dead and injured has been gradually rising. Among the wounded are both young and elderly Ukrainians.
As of 9:54 p.m., it is known that 12 people were killed as a result of the Russian strike on the city. Another 39 were injured.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately clarified that seven of those injured in the attack on Zaporizhzhia are being treated in the hospital.

"This is an absolutely cynical, terrorist strike with no military purpose whatsoever. Russian attacks on our cities and villages do not stop for a single day," he stressed.
May 6 was declared a Day of Mourning in the city.
Strike on Kramatorsk
Around 5:00 p.m. Kyiv time, Russia attacked Kramatorsk. The enemy also used aerial bombs, launching a total of three munitions. Police and State Emergency Service units, as well as municipal and medical services, arrived at the scene of the attack.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin, the Russian attack damaged 14 cars, 16 apartment buildings, and two public facilities. Four administrative buildings were also affected.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that the hits occurred in the city center.
As of 10:02 p.m., six people aged between 42 and 68 were reported killed, and 13 others were injured.
Strike on Dnipro
The series of Russian attacks did not stop there. Around 7:50 p.m., the enemy struck Dnipro with ballistic missiles.

According to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha, a fire broke out at an industrial facility after the strike.
As of 9:50 p.m., 16 people were reported injured, 14 of whom were hospitalized. Four deaths have also been officially confirmed.
Notably, this wave of terror came just a day after Russia expressed a desire for a ceasefire with Ukraine on May 8–9, so that the parade in Moscow could take place without "unexpected incidents."
