Attack on Swiss Foundation for Mine Action office in Kharkiv: Organization reacts
During a missile attack on Kharkiv on the morning of July 24, Russian troops hit the office of the Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD). The organization responded to the attack.
According to the foundation, the strike severely damaged the building where the foundation's office was located, as well as some vehicles and equipment.
"We are however relieved to confirm that no FSD staff members were killed or injured," FSD reported.
The Swiss Foundation for Mine Action also emphasized that it would continue to provide humanitarian demining services and support to the people of Ukraine.
Kharkiv shelling on July 24
On the night of July 24, Russian forces once again shelled Kharkiv. There were several hits. The attack targeted an industrial area and residential sector.
Later, local authorities reported that the Russians attacked the office of a humanitarian organization involved in demining in Kharkiv with a ballistic missile.
Also, later in the day, the Russians attacked the city again. The strike was on an infrastructure facility, resulting in a fire.
Later, explosions were heard in the city several times.
