How Russia attacked
According to the Air Forces of Ukraine, during the night, Russian troops launched 73 strike drones and four missiles — two guided aerial missiles Kh-59/69 from the Zaporizhzhia region and two ballistic missiles Iskander-M from occupied Crimea.
The air defense forces destroyed two guided aerial missiles Kh-59/69 and 69 enemy strike drones. One Shahed drone returned to Russia, and three were lost in location.
Air defense operated in 13 regions, specifically in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.
Sumy
Today, the city of Sumy was attacked twice by Russian drones. A medical facility and the residential sector were targeted. There are reports of casualties and fatalities.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported that as a result of the first shelling, one person was killed, and several floors of the hospital were damaged. An evacuation of patients and staff began. Shortly after, the enemy launched a second attack.
As of 10:28, there are reports of seven fatalities, including a police officer, and 12 seriously injured. Among the injured is another police officer.
