Agents of the ATESH resistance movement set fire to a Russian military truck to prevent its deployment near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, according to a post by ATESH on Telegram.

The movement reported that its partisans were embedded within Russia’s 115th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, stationed near the village of Andriivka.

“(The agents) destroyed their own truck after learning they were ordered to take part in suicidal assaults near Pokrovsk,” the statement said.

In this way they delayed the unit’s deployment and saved their own lives.

“Soldiers see that their commanders are sending personnel to certain death, without giving them rest or evacuation. Our agents prove that every Russian serviceman can fight for his life without leaving his unit! Sabotage is the most effective way to avoid being sent to the slaughter,” the post added.

In addition, ATESH appealed directly to Russian soldiers, urging them not to go to the front and to save their lives.

Battle for Pokrovsk

Fierce fighting for the city of Pokrovsk has intensified over the past week.

Yesterday, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi confirmed that an airborne unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate had landed in Pokrovsk, joined by other Ukrainian forces operating in the area.

He reported that Ukrainian troops are holding Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, while also continuing liberation and clearing operations in the Dobropillia direction.
