At least 21 drones entered Polish airspace during the Russian attack, and not all of them have been found yet, according to Poland's presidential advisor on international affairs, Marcin Przydacz, reports The Guardian.

“The number of reported Russian drones that crossed into Poland’s territory went up to 21,” Przydacz said.

According to him, not all of them have been found. As of last night, Poland’s Ministry of Interior confirmed the discovery of 17 drones.

The Polish presidential advisor also warned against the false notion that these drones were Ukrainian, calling it a Russian disinformation campaign.

He added that the Polish authorities clearly stated that all detected drones were Russian and launched from Russian territory.

Russian drones in Poland

On the night of September 10, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, about 20 Russian drones entered Polish airspace. Air defense managed to shoot down only 4 drones.

According to the latest information, Poland has found debris from 16 Russian drones that entered its territory during the attack. One of the drones fell on a military base.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called the Alliance’s response to the incident in Poland “very successful.” He emphasized that the previous night demonstrated NATO’s readiness to defend every inch of its territory, including its airspace.

In response to the Russian attack, NATO invoked Article 4. This allows member states to discuss the situation with allies in the North Atlantic Council.
