Astrology forecast for August 1: Main rules and why you shouldn't start anything new

In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, astrologer Kateryna Solovyova has provided a forecast for August 1, warning that the day could be challenging due to the destructive degree of Leo in the Sun.

"This is an unfavorable period for new ventures and important decisions, as well as for surgical and dental procedures, or visiting a hairdresser," Solovyova cautioned.
Due to the shadow period of retrograde Mercury, it is advised not to plan the following on this day:
- important negotiations
- signing new contracts
- purchasing technology
- significant business trips
- taking exams
- making important payments
- resolving conflicts.
Additionally, Solovyova emphasized that on August 1, it’s crucial not to spend time alone or focus solely on your own interests.

- abstaining from alcohol
- avoiding open flames
- refraining from arguing with women, as it could disrupt cosmic order
- letting go of possessiveness and recognizing responsibility for every action.
Ignoring the day's recommendations could have negative health implications, Solovyova warned. On this day, women's intuition is heightened, and it’s an ideal time for collective efforts and helping others.
The day is favorable for creativity and intellectual work. It’s also a good time to repay debts, meditate, and engage in water and cleansing rituals.

"August 1 is a day ruled by Jupiter, the planet of 'great fortune,' broad horizons, and abundant opportunities. Until June 10, 2025, it will be in Gemini. This is the worst position for the kindest planet in the Solar System," Solovyova explained.
"However, this is favorable for those involved in literary and publishing activities, travel, entrepreneurship, and large-scale business. Avoid being talkative and inconsistent, especially when it comes to communications, gadgets, transportation, travel, documentation, trade, and education," she added.
Nonetheless, it is possible to balance Jupiter's energies by incorporating indigo and violet colors into your clothing and accessories.
Given the general atmosphere of the day, the astrologer suggested avoiding new endeavors related to law, travel, education, science, and anything involving foreign elements, such as languages, international relations, and cooperation.

What August 1 has as in store
"Until 21:52 on August 1 (Kyiv time), the Sun, which governs our inner 'self,' consciousness, worldview, life force, energy, health, individuality, temperament, self-realization, and sources of self-expression and integrity, will be in a destructive degree of Leo," the astrologer informed.
A destructive degree signifies a sacrificial test: only through trials can one receive assistance and reward for resilience. It brings tests of strength, endurance, and perseverance.
"In Leo, this degree can result in pessimism, pride, disappointment in creative abilities, physical ailments, depravity, financial loss, problems with children, and misunderstandings with sexual partners. There may be a sense of deprivation in all matters related to the expression of the spirit," Solovyova explained.

Moreover, this degree may manifest in two ways: either a person will destroy others, or life will destroy them.
On August 1, those in leadership positions in professional or public activities, as well as those associated with the arts and culture, will enter an unfavorable period.
"It’s essential to avoid laziness, idleness, frivolity, vanity, extravagance, showiness, passion, excessive gambling, and to steadfastly accept defeats," Solovyova said.
