Apple is preparing a major update for Siri, aiming to make the assistant more like modern AI chatbots. According to Bloomberg, the new feature will allow Siri to handle multiple requests at once, instead of processing them one by one as it does now, according to Bloomberg.

Sources say the feature is being developed as part of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, planned for release at the end of the year.

This update will let users combine several commands in a single request to Siri. For example, a user could ask Siri to check the weather, create a calendar event, and send a message all at once, without repeating each request separately.

Currently, Siri can handle sequential commands without repeating “Siri” or “Hey Siri,” but it still processes each action individually. This limitation is why many users consider it less convenient compared to newer AI solutions.

Bloomberg reports that this development is part of a broader Siri overhaul. Apple aims to make the assistant more useful, better able to understand context, personal user information, and on-screen content.

The new Siri and other Apple Intelligence features are expected to be unveiled at WWDC on June 8.

Siri as a chatbot

In addition to multitasking, Apple is reportedly working to make Siri function more like a chatbot. The company is also developing a standalone app for the assistant and a feature to gather and summarize information from the internet through the internal “World Knowledge Answers” project.

This could allow Siri to execute more complex chains of actions, such as finding a photo, editing it, and sending it to a contact in a single command.

New keyboard

Separately, Apple is reportedly testing an updated system keyboard with improved autocorrect and alternative word suggestions similar to Grammarly. No final decision has been made regarding its launch.

Apple has recently been working on both new devices and software updates. The company unveiled the iPhone 17e, marketed as the most affordable iPhone 17 model, and also introduced the cheapest MacBook in history.

Meanwhile, insiders and specialized media are already discussing the next generation of Apple smartphones. Although the official launch is still months away, leaks offer an early look at the iPhone 18 lineup, which may include a base model, Pro and Pro Max versions, and possibly new formats such as an updated Air or even a foldable smartphone.
