Apple set to launch 4 new products in January – Which devices to expect

2025 is coming to an end. No new Apple devices are expected until 2026, but insiders are already naming four products that could launch in January, according to 9to5Mac.
MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches with M5 Pro and M5 Max
Last fall, Apple introduced the new M5 chip in three products: MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro.
So far, the Pro and Max versions have not appeared, and only the 14-inch MacBook Pro has received the new chip.
It is now reported that at the beginning of 2026, the company will release 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max. For comparison, in January 2023, Apple introduced MacBook Pro versions with M2 Pro and M2 Max, and with M5, the company may follow a similar schedule.
New 12.9-inch MacBook
Many analysts have long urged Apple to release a more affordable MacBook that could compete with Chromebooks and budget PCs. It seems this will happen at the beginning of 2026.
According to rumors, Apple is preparing a 12.9-inch MacBook with an A18 Pro chip, similar to the iPhone level, in several bright colors. The main advantage could be the price of $599 or $699.
Analyst Jeff Pu expects the device to go on sale in the middle of the first quarter of 2026, making a late January launch quite possible.
iPad with A18 chip
Earlier this year, the basic iPad received an update with the A16 Bionic chip.
The next iPad model with the A18 chip is expected at the beginning of 2026 and will support Apple Intelligence.
Few details are known about other changes. Most likely, the design will remain the same, with updates primarily internal.
iPhone 17e
Apple is preparing another iPhone 17 model, expected to launch at the beginning of 2026.
In February 2024, the company introduced the new budget iPhone 16e, and rumors suggest the "e" model will be updated annually.
The iPhone 17e will feature the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17, along with a new front camera with Center Stage functionality. Two design changes are rumored: Dynamic Island instead of a notch and thinner bezels.
Like the iPhone 16e, the new budget smartphone will cost around $599 and have only one main camera.
Additional products: M5 MacBook Air, M4 iPad Air, new Mac displays
The four devices mentioned are rumored to launch at the beginning of 2026. Other products may also appear during the same period:

All are expected in winter or spring and will be released alongside the main new products. For example, the iPad Air and the basic iPad were released simultaneously, and new Mac displays could debut alongside MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max.
