In various districts of Kyiv, fires have broken out in high-rise buildings, supermarkets, and warehouses as a result of a morning missile attack launched by Russians. The number of injured is rising, according to Kyiv City Military Administration and Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko.

Consequences of the Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian capital:

  • In the Solomianskyi district, fires in two apartment buildings have been recorded. Ten people have already been reported injured.
  • In the Desnianskyi district, there are preliminary reports of a supermarket fire.
  • In the Darnytskyi district, non-residential premises have been damaged.
  • In the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell in an open area.
  • In the Pecherskyi district, debris fell on the roof of a 9-story apartment building, another multi-story building, and a private house.
  • In the Obolonskyi district, there is a fire in a residential building, debris falling on the territory of non-residential buildings and warehouses.
  • In the Sviatoshynskyi district, information about the attack's consequences is currently being clarified.
  • In the Podilskyi district, a fire has been recorded in the market area, damage to a gas pipe, and debris falling on non-residential buildings. There is also a possibility of a residential building fire. The information is being verified. Additionally, water supply mains have been damaged, and at least 6 cars are on fire.
  • In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris fell in an open area.

Some areas of the city are experiencing problems with electricity and water supply due to the missile attack.

As reported by Klychko, 16 people have been reported injured currently in a multi-story building in the Solomiansky district, where a fire occurred as a result of the missile attack. 15 of them have been hospitalized.

Russian attack on Kyiv on January 2

Russian forces launched another massive attack on Kyiv on the morning of January 2. Debris falling in several districts, power outages, water shortages, and fires have been recorded in the Ukrainian capital.
