Almost 9,000 troops, 168 artillery systems: Russia's weekly losses in early September
In the first week of September, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 8,960 occupiers and also destroyed 168 artillery systems, according to the Telegram account of the Commander of the Ground Forces, Oleksandr Pavliuk.
"From September 1 to 8, Russian losses amounted to approximately 8,960 personnel," he wrote.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to destroy:
- 44 tanks
- 137 armored combat vehicles
- 168 artillery systems
- 4 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
- 2 anti-aircraft defense systems
- 337 vehicles
- 56 special equipment
Moreover, the Ukrainian forces also destroyed 31 missiles and 357 Russian drones.
Frontline situation
As of September 8, there have been 183 combat encounters reported in the past 24 hours. On the Kurakhiv front, the number of clashes has surpassed the activity of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk area.
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops captured the village of Sinkivka during their offensive operations along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line.
Additionally, the occupiers have advanced near Pokrovsk, in the Donetsk region, and on the islands in the Dnipro delta in the Kherson region.
