Alert declared in Crimea: Russia reports air defense activity in Sevastopol
Russia reported air defense activity in Sevastopol, allegedly intercepting a missile attack, according to the so-called "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
According to Razvozhayev, Russian forces in Sevastopol are allegedly repelling a missile attack. He claimed that Russian air defense successfully intercepted a "Neptune" anti-ship missile over the Black Sea at a significant distance from the shore.
Meanwhile, monitoring Telegram channels reported hearing an explosion in Sevastopol before the air raid alarm was announced.
Strikes on Crimea
In occupied Crimea, special operations targeting Russian military bases and equipment are becoming increasingly frequent. At the end of April, an airfield near Dzhankoy came under attack, with dozens of explosions reported.
On the night of May 15, explosions were heard in Sevastopol. According to media reports, the Belbek airfield was targeted, potentially damaging Russian aircraft. Russia claimed that the peninsula was allegedly attacked with ATACMS missiles, which their air defense "intercepted."
In early October, it was reported that the Russian forces were preparing for an unprecedented attack on the Crimean Bridge. As a result, additional air defense systems were deployed to the Kerch area.
