The spokesperson of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat explained how capturing the operation of air defense systems on video aids the enemy, according to the YouTube channel of the Disinformation Counteraction Center.

According to Ihnat, each snapshot can become a source of information for the occupant.

"There are many options, but when we assist with these snapshots, with some comments - everything is analyzed. Every snapshot, and every video can become a source of information for the occupant. Verbally, I explain, we have missiles, somewhere our air defense is operational," Ihnat said.

The spokesperson also elucidated how the enemy engages in the shooting process.

"From one point, one person captures, from another point – another person, from the third point – a third person. This is called the three-coordinate coincidence of parallels. In this way, it's possible to precisely determine the location of a launch unit, let's say, like the Patriot, and deliver a follow-up strike," added Ihnat.

The spokesperson also mentioned video surveillance cameras that should be turned off during an air alert.

"You know the story with cameras that were turned on. Those cameras need to be turned off; it is entirely unacceptable, and the Security Service of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies are already addressing it. Today, there are corresponding prohibitions for those who neglect these rules. Especially in real-time, it can be very detrimental," said Ihnat.

Regarding the filming of the Air Force's air defense operations by foreigners, Ihnat mentioned that the video undergoes verification before publication.

"You can see that we showcase the work of our air defense, and foreigners are already showcasing it as well. We scrutinize to ensure there's nothing extraneous, and we publish it if it shows the missile intercepting an airborne target – why not? We need to demonstrate to our partners that their weaponry is effective, that we can intercept missiles," stated Ihnat.
