Air Force revealed details of Russian night attack
Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with Shahed drones and ballistic missiles. Air defense forces destroyed all attacking drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of April 5, 2024, the enemy launched two S-300/S-400 surface-to-air guided missiles and three Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch areas in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation), as well as 13 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from the area of Cape Chauda (Crimea)," the Ukrainian Air Force statement said.
As a result of the air defense battle by mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all 13 Shahed drones were shot down in the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Russian attack on the night of April 4-5
The Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with drones and missiles on the night of April 4 to 5. Late in the evening, a series of explosions were reported in Kharkiv.
Later, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of kamikaze drones to the southern regions – Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Shortly after the alarm about the Shahed drones, residents of the Odesa region were also warned. Explosions were also heard in Odesa shortly after.
