Air Force explains whether Russians could use drones in bad weather
The recent challenging weather conditions in Ukraine do not hinder completely Russian attacks with Shahed drones and missiles. Yet, the enemy may face certain difficulties, as Yurii Ihnat, a spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
"The only thing is that due to temperature fluctuations between plus and minus, certain parts (of drones) may freeze. This can affect the aerodynamic qualities of the glider itself, and it may crash. Gusts of wind and stormy weather greatly affect manned aviation and drones," explained Ihnat.
According to him, the weather does not pose any obstacles to the operation of Ukraine's air defense system, except for mobile groups, as the weather may complicate their work.
Bad weather in Ukraine
Over recent days there has been stormy weather in Ukraine, including snowstorms and strong winds.
Russians did not launch their drones over Ukraine last night.
Earlier, Ihnat predicted that Russians would use drones much more frequently than missiles in the near future.
