Air Defense Forces shot down over 30 attack drones overnight
Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine overnight on September 28. Ukrainian air defenses shot down more than 30 Shahed drones, according to Natalia Humeniuk, the Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.
She noted that the enemy launched several groups of attack drones from different directions. According to her, air defenses were effectively active along almost the entire southern direction, including in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
"The enemy directed attack drones in various directions, including towards the central regions. The results of the attack are still being summarized because it was massive. However, the work of the air defense systems was quite successful. More than 30 drones were destroyed, and the exact number will be determined by the General Staff," said Humeniuk.
