Aid to Ukraine: French Prime Minister promises to expand support with various types of weaponry
France intends not only to increase funding for assistance to Ukraine but also to expand the range of provided military equipment, announced French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal during a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The head of the French government emphasized that France is providing Ukraine with state-of-the-art weaponry. This includes long-range missiles like Scalp, Caesar howitzers, light tanks AMX-10 RC, and AASM bombs.
"This commitment (to military assistance to Ukraine) will obviously increase, not only in terms of the finances allocated, but also in terms of the nature of the weapons, which obviously must be of the highest standard necessary for Ukrainians to be able to defend themselves," added Attal.
The French Prime Minister also emphasized that Europe will not abandon Ukraine and will assist the country in achieving victory over Russian occupiers.
Assistance to Ukraine from France
France has been one of Ukraine's key allies since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
In particular, the Ukrainian military has already received light tanks, self-propelled artillery units, long-range missiles, anti-aircraft defense systems, and more from France.
It has also recently become known that Ukraine and France are finalizing work on a bilateral document guaranteeing security.
