Aerial terror: Russian army drops eight guided bombs on Vovchansk in one day
Since the beginning of the day, the number of combat clashes on the front line has increased to 77. The occupiers are making maximum efforts to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Additionally, Russia has unleashed aerial terror on Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, with eight guided aerial bombs hitting the city in a single day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops are taking measures to hold their positions, conducting counterattacks, and destroying the enemy.
During the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 16 areas of concentration of Russian military personnel. The missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit a concentration area of personnel, two infrastructure facilities, and conducted remote mining of one area.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted 12 times to push our units from their positions. Three assault actions are ongoing. The situation in the Vovchansk area is tense but controlled by the Defense Forces.
Today, the Russian army has unleashed aerial terror on this settlement: a total of eight guided aerial bombs have hit the city. The enemy also struck the Bilyi Kolodiaz area with two more guided bombs and conducted an airstrike on Mala Danylivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, six of the 18 combat clashes are currently ongoing since the beginning of the day.
In the Kramatorsk direction, one battle is currently ongoing. In total, there have been 12 combat clashes today.
Russian losses in the Kramatorsk direction since the beginning of the day are: 25 personnel killed and wounded, and six pieces of weaponry and military equipment eliminated. One enemy vehicle has been destroyed, and a gun, a ground drone control station, two vehicles, and one piece of special equipment have been damaged.
In the Pokrovsk direction, there have already been 14 combat clashes. The enemy, supported by aviation, is attempting to focus its main assault efforts in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Novoselivka Persha. The situation is under control by Ukrainian soldiers.
Russian offensive in Kharkiv region
In May, Russian forces began a new offensive in the Kharkiv region. The Russian army is attempting to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses and, in particular, to capture the city of Vovchansk.
As reported today by the General Staff, Ukrainian troops have halted the Russian troops in the northern part of the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are delivering fire damage to enemy forces.
Additionally, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, there is a possibility that the Russian army may launch an offensive on the Kharkiv region from the Sumy direction.
