In Belgorod, a Russian aerial bomb fell near a kindergarten. It likely happened while the plane was possibly on its way to bomb Ukraine, according to Russian media.

The governor of Belgorod region, Gladkov, reported that an ammunition item had fallen, and the Ministry of Defense’s explosives specialists are "making a decision on its disposal."

All people who were in the kindergarten have been moved to a safe location, and emergency services continue evacuating residents within a 300-meter radius.

According to preliminary information reported by the Pepel Belgorod Telegram channel, the incident was caused by the fall of a Russian aerial bomb, as confirmed by the characteristic crater at the site.

Fall of Russian aerial bombs in Belgorod occurs regularly

For instance, on December 6, a Russian bomber dropped FAB bombs on a residential building on Dalny Lane. One person was injured, and around 15,000 residents were left without electricity, which was restored a few hours later.

Previously, there were reports of FAB-500 and FAB-250 strikes in various parts of the region — notably on March 27 in the village of Bessonovka. A Russian airstrike using a FAB-250 in the region was also recorded on March 22.

The increase in airstrikes coincides with the actions of Russian volunteers, who on March 12 breached the border and captured several settlements in Belgorod and Kursk regions.
