Accident with bus, mail truck and car near Lviv: Dead and many injured
On October 11, near Lviv, a Warsaw-Odesa bus, a Nova Poshta truck, and several cars collided. Two people were killed, and 27 were injured, according to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
"On October 11, at approximately 6:30 AM (Kyiv time), a major traffic accident with casualties occurred on the Kyiv-Chop M-06 highway, near the village of Chyshky, involving an international bus traveling from Warsaw to Odesa, a Nova Poshta cargo truck, and several passenger vehicles," he said.
As of 7:00 AM Kyiv time, according to Kozytskyi, one fatality and 27 injuries had been confirmed.
"The road is completely blocked. Vehicles are being redirected through Vynnyky," Kozytskyi added.
Two fatalities
By around 7:40 AM, the number of fatalities had risen to two.
Three fatalities
Shortly after, reports emerged of a third person killed in the crash near Lviv.
"Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to three. Patrol officers have organized alternating traffic in this area," Kozytskyi said.
Earlier, on October 10, a fatal road accident occurred in Poland near the Ukrainian border, resulting in the deaths of Ukrainian citizens.
Additionally, a bus carrying pilgrims overturned in the Ternopil region in July. At the time of the accident, more than 40 people were on board. Nineteen people were injured, including a child.
