9-hour alarm: Fallout from Russian attack on Kyiv region revealed
A siren alert lasted more than 9 hours in the Kyiv region due to a Russian attack on the night of December 1. There were damages and a fire occurred, according to the Telegram account of the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"The enemy continues its nightly UAV attacks on the Kyiv region. The alert lasted more than 9 hours. Air defense forces were active in the region. Enemy targets were destroyed," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
According to him, despite no casualties or hits to critical or residential infrastructure, there were damages in three districts due to debris from downed drones.
"Three private houses, an apartment, three cars, and a garage were damaged. Windows and doors in the houses were shattered, and facades and roofs were affected," Kravchenko added.
Additionally, the wreckage of a hostile drone caused a fire in a private garage in the region.
"The second floor of the building was destroyed, the first floor and two cars were damaged. The fire was extinguished at 06:43. There were no casualties or injuries," the rescuers reported.

Russian attack on Ukraine
An air raid alert was declared in Ukraine, including Kyiv, around 5:00 AM due to Russian drones. Explosions were heard in Kyiv after 6:00 AM, and the Kyiv region’s air defense forces were active.
Later, it was reported that drone debris fell in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, damaging a building. Defense forces identified and neutralized around a dozen drones attempting to attack the capital.
In total, Russia launched nearly 80 drones at Ukraine on the night of December 1. Air defense forces shot down 32 of them.
