8,755 foreign parts found in drones attacking Ukraine – Zelenskyy
Russia launched 103 drones at Ukraine overnight on January 5, containing 8,755 foreign-made components, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
He stated that throughout this week, Russia used over 630 attack drones, approximately 740 guided aerial bombs, and nearly 50 missiles of various types. These weapons contained more than 50,000 sanctioned components sourced globally.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the sanctions targeting the supply chains of foreign components to Russia are insufficient. Moscow continues to acquire the components and production tools it needs from nearly every corner of the world, using them in weapons to attack Ukraine.
"We must further strengthen cooperation with all partners on sanctions, air defense systems, long-range weapons, and support for our soldiers. This is the priority that will help defend our cities and villages and protect our positions on the frontlines. I am grateful to every partner assisting us in this effort," the president stated.
