60 dead victims of massive fire in Iraqi mall (video)

A massive fire broke out at a shopping mall in the Iraqi city of al-Kut. At least 60 people died in the blaze, and there may be more victims trapped under the rubble, Reuters reports.
Overnight, flames engulfed the five-story shopping mall building in the city of Al-Kut in eastern Iraq.
According to a representative of the health department, a list of 59 identified victims has already been compiled, but one body was so severely burned that identification is complicated. The official also noted that other people may still be under the rubble.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The legal proceedings have already been initiated against the building's owner and the shopping center's management, but the nature of the charges has not been disclosed.
The governor of the province promised to release preliminary investigation results within 48 hours.
A three-day mourning period has been declared in the region in connection with the tragedy.
Videos from the scene of the tragedy are circulating on social media, showing rescuers trying to extinguish the fire.
