5 poducts that will help you get rid of belly fat
Sugar and other products contribute to fat accumulation in the abdominal area. This is where all the pastries, candies, and rolls settle. In addition to improper nutrition, stress and hormones complicate the formation of this body area. And this is not just a matter of appearance but also a risk of such diseases as type 2 diabetes.
What will help get rid of belly fat is explained by Fit for Fun.
Limit sugar consumption
If you have a little belly and want to get rid of it, you should first take a close look at your sugar consumption.
"Sugar causes an insulin spike, which stimulates the body to store fat in the abdominal area," explains the author of the book The High-Fat Diet Zana Morris.
Avoiding products that quickly break down into sugar helps the body use fat stores as an energy source. Instead, you can replace some products with healthier alternatives without completely giving up carbohydrates.
Fresh fruits instead of juices
For many, a glass of fresh orange juice is an integral part of a good morning. And fruits are undoubtedly healthy. However, when making juice, valuable fiber is removed, leaving only sugar.
The result will be even more serious if you do not squeeze the juice yourself but buy it in the supermarket. A glass of apple juice contains as much sugar as a can of cola, even if it's different types of sugar.
"Many people believe that juices are the best way to consume vitamin C. However, when you squeeze the juice from fruits, you remove their fiber," explains dietitian Dr. Sarah Brewer.
Only through whole fruits can you get all the important nutrients that help maintain a healthy gut microbiome. Therefore, it is advisable to prefer fresh fruits. For breakfast, for example, it can be an apple with protein-rich nut butter or a fruit salad: not only does it provide a feeling of fullness compared to a glass of juice, but it also refreshes the body.
Instead of ice cream, choose Greek yogurt
To fight belly fat, it is not necessary to demonize all types of sugar and exclude them from your menu. However, attention should be paid to artificially added refined sugar found in many sweets, including ice cream.
A healthier alternative in this case may be Greek yogurt with fresh fruits, such as berries or apples. Cinnamon also goes well with it.
Another advantage is that yogurt is rich in protein, which helps control hunger longer. You can also chop it all up into a puree, pour it into ice cream molds, and freeze it: an ideal healthy alternative to ice cream.
Evening snack: nuts instead of chips
It's no surprise that chips are unhealthy. High salt and saturated fat content do not make them better.
If you still need a snack, instead of chips, you should use nuts. They are full of protein and healthy fats, so they keep you feeling full longer.
The health benefits have already been proven in several studies. One study found that people who ate nuts for 12 weeks generally improved their diet.
Another study examined the diet of over 8,800 people over 28 months. It was found that those who ate two or more servings of nuts per week had a 31 percent lower risk of weight gain than those who rarely ate nuts.
However, since nuts are very high in calories, you should not eat too many of them.
Replace processed meat with fatty fish
Bacon and sausage are clearly harmful to a slender figure. Moreover, they can harm health if consumed in large quantities - processed meat can indeed have an inflammatory effect.
This inflammation can have numerous negative consequences and, for example, promote the formation of fat deposits around the organs. In particular, trans fats are harmful to the body, which can be found in fast food and sweet pastries.
In this case, fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, or mackerel are best suited. They contain a large amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for heart health, hormonal balance, and muscle mass growth.
Eggs or cereal for breakfast?
Although cereals can be nutritious, most of their varieties contain excessive amounts of sugar. A few hours after breakfast, blood sugar levels drop, and you suddenly feel hungry.
"A breakfast high in carbohydrates with a small amount of fiber and protein can provide short-term energy, but hunger sets in immediately afterward," says dietitian Ian Marber.
The key to success is a balanced intake of nutrients: for example, eggs with avocado and whole-grain bread are perfect for this. Eggs are also a great source of protein and help regulate appetite.
