340 people aboard: What Ukrainian train looks like after Russian Shahed strike

It has become known what the train that was hit by an enemy Shahed drone on the morning of August 13 looks like. Photos and videos of the aftermath were published by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As is known, the train driver and his assistant were killed in the strike. The passengers, 340 of whom were on board at the time of the strike, were not injured. They were taken to Odesa by bus.
"And whoever was operating that drone certainly could not have been unaware that the target was entirely civilian," the president said.

Zelenskyy also called on the world for a decisive response to the Russian strikes and for strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
"Rescuers evacuated 317 passengers, including 67 children," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine added.
Photos published by rescuers show that the driver's cab was destroyed.

"The locomotive caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire," the statement said.
The strike on the Odesa Railway train occurred this morning. According to reports, the Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukraine's state-owned railway operator) team received a warning about a jet-powered drone and forwarded it to the driver.
However, due to the high speed of the Shahed and its sudden maneuver, there was not enough time to stop the locomotive.
