250-kilogram Russian bomb and drone defused in Sumy region
In the Sumy region, bomb technicians defused a 250-kilogram Russian FAB-250 aerial bomb and the warhead of a downed Geran-2 attack drone, according to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
It was noted that after Russia's daily airstrikes on Ukraine, the police receive reports from citizens about the discovery of downed enemy drones whose warheads did not detonate, as well as other unexploded munitions.
Today, in one of the districts of the Sumy region, a downed Geran-2 drone was found, and its warhead had not exploded upon impact.
After inspecting the drone wreckage, police bomb technicians defused the warhead and transported the explosives to a safe location for destruction.
Yesterday, in a cornfield in the Sumy district, specialists from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit defused and removed for destruction a 250-kilogram Russian FAB-250 aerial bomb equipped with a universal planning and correction module.
Special equipment was brought in to extract it from the ground.
