On Wednesday, February 18, the Ukrainian team will face one of its most intense days at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Our athletes will compete in five disciplines, including the postponed freestyle events.

Packed program and freestyle return

The twelfth day of competitions in Milan will be a high-intensity finale for the Ukrainian team.

One of the day’s main highlights is the ski acrobatics tournament in Livigno.

Organizers had to postpone the qualification and final due to adverse weather, so on Wednesday, spectators will see the full program of freestyle performances.

Additionally, the morning will start with cross-country skiing qualification heats, while alpine skiers will showcase their skills in the slalom.

The evening will focus on short-track, where Oleh Handey will attempt to advance through the quarterfinals toward a medal race.

Ukrainian athletes’ schedule – February 18

Throughout the day, Ukrainian competitors will participate according to the following schedule:

  • 10:45 AM (Kyiv time) – Cross-country skiing: Women’s qualification (team sprint)

  • 11:00 AM – Alpine skiing: Women’s slalom (first run)

  • 11:00 AM – Freestyle: Women’s acrobatics qualification

  • 11:15 AM – Cross-country skiing: Men’s qualification (team sprint)

  • 12:45 PM – Cross-country skiing: Women’s final (team sprint)

  • 1:00 PM – Freestyle: Women’s acrobatics final

  • 1:15 PM – Cross-country skiing: Men’s final (team sprint)

  • 2:30 PM – Alpine skiing: Women’s slalom (second run)

  • 3:45 PM – Biathlon: Women’s relay

  • 9:15 PM – Short-track: Men’s 500 m quarterfinals (Oleh Handei)

  • 10:27 PM – Short-track: 500 m final races
