2026 Olympic fashion: How Ukraine's team will represent with Carpathian designs

In Kyiv, the official gear for the Ukrainian team for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games was unveiled, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) reported on Instagram.
Design of the uniforms
The uniforms were created in collaboration with the Polish brand 4F and combine symbols of Ukrainian identity with a modern sports style.
The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine emphasizes that the gear "carries strength, style, and pride for Ukraine" and will help athletes "write a new history."
The designers drew inspiration from elements of Ukrainian identity. The uniforms include:
- Mountain landscapes
- Evergreen spruces
- Clean Carpathian air
- Golden patterns of Ukrainian embroidery
The presentation was attended by decorated Ukrainian Olympians, including freestyle Olympic champion Oleksandr Abramenko, biathlon Olympic champion Vita Semerenko, as well as Olena Pidhrushna, Valentyna Tserbe, Olena Petrova, and Mykhailo Kokhan.
Participants in the event, including NOC Ukraine President Vadym Guttsait and Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports Matvii Bidnyi, also spoke with national team athletes who are currently training abroad.
Words of support and preparation under wartime conditions
Commenting on the presentation, Vadym Guttsait expressed satisfaction with the new uniforms.
"It is very important for us that our team is not only represented at the Olympics but also looks beautiful, and that the whole world once again sees that we have stood firm, that we are defending our independence thanks to our Armed Forces," the NOC head said.
He also assured that all necessary conditions have been created for the national team's preparation. Athletes train both in Ukraine and abroad, depending on their opportunities and needs.
"Therefore, we hope that our team will not only participate in the Olympics but will also be competitive," Guttsait concluded.
Minister Matvii Bidnyi emphasized that despite saving every hryvnia in the conditions of full-scale war, funding allows the teams to complete a full preparation cycle, including necessary training camps abroad.
Dates of the 2026 Winter Olympics
The 25th Winter Olympic Games will be held in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo from February 6 to 22, 2026.
