Detailed technical specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro Max flagship have appeared online. The device is expected to succeed the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max model. According to insiders, the smartphone will feature a revolutionary Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, along with significant upgrades to its cameras and battery, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

According to the insider, the main highlight of the new device will be the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. It is one of the first processors built on a 2-nanometer manufacturing process.

The chip is expected to feature an eight-core architecture and a next-generation Adreno 850 graphics unit.

Thanks to the new processor, the smartphone will likely support ultra-fast LPDDR6 RAM. This will significantly improve performance in artificial intelligence tasks and heavy gaming. The use of UFS 5.0 storage is also expected.

Display and cameras

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to feature a large 6.9-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display. This design will allow more spacious internal components, including an improved cooling system and larger camera sensors.

Camera setup:

  • Main — 200 MP with a large sensor and improved optics
  • Telephoto — 200 MP periscope lens with macro shooting support
  • Ultrawide — updated 50 MP sensor

It is also mentioned that the device may include a secondary rear display, similar to the previous Max model, as well as an improved linear vibration motor for better haptic feedback.

Battery and charging

One of the most important upgrades will be battery capacity. The device is expected to feature a battery ranging from 7000 to 8500 mAh.

Despite this, the manufacturer plans to retain ultra-fast charging: up to 120 W wired charging and up to 50 W wireless charging.

The official announcement of the Xiaomi 18 series is expected in September 2026. The smartphone will run the new version of HyperOS based on Android 17.
