According to the military, the foreigner signed a contract with the Russian army and came to Ukraine to earn money.

While attempting to surrender, the sodier stepped on a mine and was injured. Fighters of the Mahura brigade discovered him after hearing his calls for help.

Despite the risk, one of the Ukrainian soldiers carried the wounded mercenary on his back for 10 kilometers through mined fields.

"I carried him so that he could be exchanged for one of our guys," said a soldier of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade with the call sign Liut.

The brigade emphasized that every occupier who came to Ukrainian land will be held accountable; however, maintaining an exchange pool is a priority for bringing Ukrainian defenders back home.

Rescue of comrades and prisoners

Ukrainian defenders recently carried out a unique operation, using only drones to free two captured comrades from a Russian escort. The soldier attempting to escort the Ukrainians made a fatal decision and came under a UAV strike.

We also reported how paratroopers of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade demonstrated the evacuation of a fellow soldier after a direct hit by a Russian guided aerial bomb (KAB) on their position.
