Today, September 18, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck the heart of Gazprom's petrochemical complex in Bashkiria. This is one of the largest plants in Russia, according to RBC-Ukraine sources.

Long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine flew all the way to Bashkortostan and caused an explosion at one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical plants in Russia.

In the morning, local Telegram channels began to write about the attack on Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC.

According to preliminary information, the drones hit the ELOU-AVT-4 installation, the heart of the plant.

This unit first removes water and salts from the oil and then converts it into gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil. A large fire has been reported at the plant, with a black column of smoke rising into the sky. The damage to the refinery has also been confirmed by Bashkortostan authorities.

“The SBU is systematically blocking the flow of petrodollars into the Russian military budget. Every hit on a Russian oil refinery reduces the aggressor's ability to wage war against Ukraine. Deep strikes into the Russian Federation demonstrate that there are no longer any safe regions for the enemy,” said an informed source in the SBU.
