Explosions heard in Izium amid drone attack

Late in the evening of July 17, a series of explosions were heard in Izium, Kharkiv region, as Russian attack drones were spotted over the city, according to the channel of the Izium City Military Administration.
According to the Military Administration, as of 11:29 PM Kyiv time, the sound of drones was heard over the city. A few minutes later, several explosions occurred in Izium.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported detecting drones in the eastern part of the Kharkiv region. The UAVs were heading west.
There is currently no information on the consequences of the attack.
Areas with air raid alert declared
As of 11:53 PM Kyiv time, the air raid alert map showed active alerts in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and parts of Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Strikes on Kharkiv region
Russian forces regularly strike the Kharkiv region using drones, artillery, guided bombs, and missiles.
For instance, in the city of Kupiansk, 95% of the infrastructure has already been destroyed as a result of ongoing attacks.
"Overall, 95% of Kupiansk has been destroyed or damaged. We’re holding the line. Power supply is available where possible. The gas supply is in place. Unfortunately, a guided air bomb strike damaged the water pipeline," said Andrii Besedin, head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, yesterday.
