How attack unfolded
According to the Air Force, reports of a ballistic missile threat from Bryansk emerged at 1:57 AM Kyiv time, later followed by another from Kursk.
Between these alerts, the military detected the movement of KABs toward Kharkiv, after which several powerful explosions were heard.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that the city was under a combined attack, though the main damage resulted from aerial bombs.
Aftermath
According to Terekhov’s latest update, the Saltivskyi and Kyivskyi districts were hit.
"As a result of KAB strikes on the Saltivskyi and Kyivskyi districts, private houses and garages were destroyed, and fires broke out. There is also a fire at one of the city markets," he said.
Regional governor Oleh Syniehubov earlier reported that a fire broke out in Saltivskyi district after a KAB strike.
Casualties
Initially, the mayor reported that two people had been injured in strikes on the Kyivskyi district. However, the number of casualties in the city has since increased.
"As a result of Russia`s KAB strikes on Kharkiv, three people were injured. Medical teams are providing all necessary assistance," Oleh Syniehubov clarified at 2:58 AM Kyiv time.
