Ukrainian forces may withdraw from Kurakhove but could exhaust Russians - Expert
The Ukrainian armed forces will withdraw from Kurakhove. However, by that time they may have exhausted the Russian forces, stated military-political analyst for the Information Resistance group, Oleksandr Kovalenko, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine’s YouTube channel.
"We need to view this realistically, without illusions or fantasies. We can't hold Kurakhove under current conditions," the analyst explained.
He noted that in this location, Ukrainian forces have the chance to exhaust Russian resources and prevent them from setting conditions for an advance on Pokrovsk by the end of the year.
"Our main objective is to ensure they can't establish these conditions in the Pokrovsk direction by the end of the year," he emphasized.
Today, DeepState reported on enemy advances near Kurakhove and Kupiansk. More details can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
Recently, military expert and former officer of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Stupak shared his thoughts on whether Russian forces could capture Kurakhove before Trump's inauguration.
It's worth noting that the Kurakhove direction remains one of the most challenging frontlines, where Russian forces attempt daily assaults.
