Ukraine promises 'symmetrical response' to Russia in event of its attacks on infrastructure

Ukraine will respond in kind if Russia violates agreements to cease attacks. The enemy has plenty of targets on its territory that can be destroyed, states Presidential office advisor Mykhailo Podolyak in a comment to RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
As Podolyak explained, in the event of an enemy shelling, Ukraine will respond by attacking the same targets on Russian territory. Kyiv does not plan to unilaterally halt strikes on the enemy while its forces continue shelling Ukraine.
He added that if Russia targets not energy facilities, but other infrastructure, the response will also be symmetrical — similar targets on the territory of the terrorist state will be attacked.
"That is, everything must be symmetrical, especially since Ukraine currently has enough corresponding tools with the necessary range. There are many infrastructure facilities, primarily military production facilities, and many factories in Russia that can continue to be destroyed because they are not on the list of energy facilities," he added.
Negotiations in Saudi Arabia
Recently, negotiations took place in Saudi Arabia between the delegations of the United States and Ukraine. In particular, the American side also separately met with the Russian delegation. The meeting aimed to agree on the details of a potential partial ceasefire.
Kyiv, for its part, agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea, as well as an energy truce. Regarding the maritime ceasefire, Russia demanded that the West first lift part of the sanctions imposed on it.
