Russia losing positions near Pokrovsk but continues assaults – Deep State analysts

The situation in the Pokrovsk area has recently improved. It has been stabilized, and Ukrainian forces are strengthening their positions, states Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst of the Deep State platform, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
According to him, the situation in the Pokrovsk area has improved — it has stabilized, and the Defense Forces are gradually strengthening their tactical positions.
"We are even seeing the appearance of blue zones, and work is underway to expand this area," he noted.
Ukrainian forces are actively working to disrupt the enemy's logistics, which is already yielding visible results.
"This is reflected on the battlefield map and even in photos published by the Muscovites," Pohorilyi said, emphasizing that the enemy is now forced to use horses, donkeys, and motorized cultivators to transport supplies.
Due to worsening supply issues, Russian forces are struggling with troop rotations, evacuating the wounded, and delivering ammunition. However, according to the analyst, Russia continues to carry out assault operations as it still has significant manpower reserves. The fighting is particularly intense near Pishchane, as it is a key logistical point for the enemy, which Ukrainian forces are disrupting through their control.
Despite the Russian forces' efforts, their attempts to regain lost positions have been unsuccessful.
"The intensity of fighting and the enemy's advances have decreased. They are trying to amass forces for assaults, but it’s not really working out for them — and that’s a very good thing," Pohorilyi concluded.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
The Russian army has recently been attempting to break through the defenses in the Pokrovsk direction. For the Russian troops, this section of the front remains one of the most challenging.
According to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of forces, the Russian forces are trying to bypass Pokrovsk from the south. The enemy's tactic is to cut off Ukrainian forces from supply lines.
Despite this, the pace of the Russian troops' advance in the Pokrovsk direction has recently slowed. One of the key reasons is the effective defensive efforts of Ukrainian forces in this sector.
