How Ukraine can delay Russia's massive strikes: Expert analysis
Ukrainian soldiers are able to delay new massive strikes by the Russian army. This is possible due to attacks on enemy ammunition depots, said military expert Ivan Stupak in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
He emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are working proactively. They are not only engaged in air defense but also destroy large Russian supply depots located in the European part of Russia. These sites store shells, ballistic, and cruise missiles.
"The fewer opportunities Russia has to strike, the less damage will be done to our infrastructure," explained Stupak.
In his view, when Ukraine hit three Russian supply depots in September, it delayed a massive strike that took place on November 17.
"Ukraine delayed this strike by destroying these depots. The attack was supposed to happen in early October but only occurred in mid-November," he added.
Massive strike on November 17
The Russian army had not carried out massive strikes on Ukraine for nearly three months.
During the latest attack, they launched 120 missiles and 90 drones. Specifically, they used the hypersonic missile Zircon and the aeroballistic missile Kinzhal.
Meanwhile, on November 20, the US Embassy warned of the threat of a "serious attack" by Russia on Ukraine. More details on this can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
