A journalist with over 25 years of experience, specializing in economic issues, energy security, and international financial relations.

He has been working in journalism since 1997. Has worked for leading Ukrainian media outlets - television, news agencies such as UNIAN and Ukrainian News, and in outlets like Apostrophe and LB.ua. He has also collaborated with international news agencies. Possesses deep expertise in macroeconomics, energy, international trade, and financial policy.

Throughout his career, he was part of the government press pool for three prime ministers and regularly covered key developments in domestic politics and international economics. He consistently reported on the negotiations surrounding the EU Association and Free Trade Agreements, the CIS Free Trade Agreement, and all gas disputes between Ukraine and Russia since 2008.

A particular area of expertise is Ukraine's cooperation with international financial institutions, especially the International Monetary Fund. He is a regular participant in energy forums, including as a moderator of industry discussions.

Frequently appears as an expert and commentator on Ukraine's national TV channels and delivers lectures and workshops for young journalists.

Since August 2021, Yurii has been a special correspondent for RBC-Ukraine, producing analytical pieces, reports, and interviews, including video content. His key areas of focus include:

  • Ukraine's energy security and the oil and gas sector,
  • financial and economic agenda of the government,
  • international trade and sanctions policy,
  • cooperation with the IMF, EBRD, World Bank, and other financial institutions.
