In the Donetsk region, a compulsory evacuation of children and their parents has been announced from eight settlements of the Druzhkivka community, states the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

According to him, evacuation is currently underway from the most dangerous communities for living. A decision was made to evacuate 79 children, and the Donetsk regional military administration has sent this decision for approval to the military command and the Coordination Staff.

"We have made the decision for the compulsory evacuation of 79 children from 8 settlements of the Druzhkivka community," Filashkin wrote.

Evacuation will take place from the following settlements:

  • Mykolaipillia,
  • Novopavlivka,
  • Pavlivka,
  • Petrivka,
  • Pryiut,
  • Sofiivka,
  • Toretske,
  • Torske.

Evacuation from the Donetsk region

The Donetsk region continues the evacuation of residents due to intensified fighting. In particular, evacuation trains are transporting locals to safer regions of Ukraine.

In February, a mandatory evacuation of children and their parents was announced in 12 settlements of the Shakhivska community in the Donetsk region.

At the end of March, the mandatory evacuation zone in the region was also expanded to include:

  • Kryvyi Rih community: Krasnopodillia, Matyasheve, and Novohryshyne;
  • Dobropillia community: the city of Bilytske, the settlements of Vodiane and Chernihivka, and the villages of Svitle and Shevchenko;
  • Druzhkivka community: the villages of Kurtivka, Kindrativka, and Osykove;
  • Lyman community: the settlement of Novoselivka and the village of Shandryholove.
