The situation in the eastern part of the front line is currently one of the most challenging. However, everything possible will be done in January to stabilize it, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, Russia currently has some advances in the east. However, this is due to the fact that Russia has concentrated far more troops there than in other directions.

"They are pressuring our guys, who are exhausted, and that's a fact. We will do everything to at least stabilize the front in January. This is very difficult. If everything that has been promised arrives - there are schedules, some things are on the way - and if the new US administration supports us rather than the opposite. This puzzle depends on many details," Zelenskyy said.

He noted that stabilizing the situation would not only rely on weapons but also on the personnel currently undergoing training and the battalions being armed abroad.

"So, we roughly understand that by January, we should receive all of this, and our military must execute the plans to stabilize the front. This is the task. We’ll see, but we are counting on it," he emphasized.

Battles for Pokrovsk

More than 70,000 Russian troops were concentrated in this area. Nevertheless, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced additional defense reinforcement in this area.

The media also wrote that the Russian army may be preparing an offensive on Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. This operation could be the culmination of the Russian offensive in this direction.

Viktor Trehubov, a spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Grouping, said that there are no battles in Pokrovsk. However, the Russian forces are trying to circumvent the town.
