Ukrainian intelligence has received information about Russia’s preparations for a new massive attack, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
“Today, we received updated intelligence on Russia’s preparations for a massive strike. We are preparing countermeasures,” the head of state said.
The president added that deadlines had been set for carrying out a significant part of the tasks, with the highest-priority ones already being implemented.
It should be recalled that former head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andrii Kovalenko said today that the aggressor country is clearly preparing for another attack on Ukraine. In his view, the Kremlin continues to rely on strikes against critical infrastructure.
Kovalenko noted that the current tactics of the Russian leadership echo its previous plans regarding Ukraine. In particular, he compared them with the dictator’s belief that Russian troops would be able to capture Kyiv in three days.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that the aggressor country is preparing the largest-scale attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure since the beginning of the war.
Russia could launch up to 1,000 strikes with missiles, drones and aerial bombs against power plants, substations and water-supply facilities. In addition, the Russian forces may attempt to shut down Ukraine’s three operating nuclear power plants.
