Zelenskyy visits Donetsk region, meets with Ukrainian military

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy today, on August 14, traveled to the Donetsk region. There, he visited the 22nd separate mechanized brigade, according to the head of the Ukrainian state on Facebook.
The President states that the 22nd Brigade is currently fulfilling tasks as part of the tactical group Adam of the Soledar operational and tactical group.
He listened to reports regarding the operational situation within the responsibility areas of the brigades and the specifics of using various types of weaponry.
"We discussed with the brigade commander the problems faced by the warriors and proposals for their solution," Zelenskyy wrote.
According to his words, he would like to personally visit each brigade separately to gain a precise understanding of the issues faced by each of them.

The President of Ukraine also visited the command post of the 5th separate assault brigade, which is carrying out combat missions as part of the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia in the Bakhmut direction.
"We spoke with the brigade commander about important current issues: the situation in the brigade's area of responsibility, training of the defenders, the need for weapons and equipment, and problematic issues," he stated.

The head of the state also communicated with the soldiers of the 80th separate air assault assault brigade. Its soldiers have been carrying out combat missions as part of the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia in the Izyum, Kupiansk, Bakhmut, and Severodonetsk directions since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Zelenskyy also held a meeting with the soldiers of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Kish Otaman Kost Hordiienko. It is carrying out missions as part of the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia in the Bakhmut, Popasna, and Severodonetsk directions.

The President of Ukraine also held a meeting with the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Kish Otaman Ivan Sirko.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the brigade's warriors have been defending our country as part of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops in the Kharkiv, Izyum, Kupyansk and Bakhmut directions," Zelenskyy stated.

The head of state announced that he had a meeting with the 26th artillery brigade named after Roman Dashkevych. Its soldiers have been fulfilling combat tasks in the Severodonetsk, Popasna, Bakhmut, and Chernihiv directions since the start of the full-scale war.

The President also visited the soldiers of the 3rd separate assault brigade, which is fulfilling tasks in the Bakhmut direction. He mentioned that he discussed the most pressing issues with the fighters.
President Zelenskyy's visits to the Donetsk region
The President of Ukraine had already been in the Donetsk region at the end of March. During that time, he conducted a coordination meeting regarding the situation in the region.
In particular, the operational situation in the Donetsk region was discussed, along with the reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure.
Additionally, on April 18, the head of the state visited Avdiivka, where he toured the frontline positions of Ukrainian defenders.
