Ukraine has, for the first time, achieved a point where the Russian army has stopped growing during the war. Ukrainian drones have inflicted massive losses on the Russians, says Zelenskyy, speaking in Davos.

Zelenskyy noted that Russian losses are now the highest ever. Actual loss statistics show that 35,000 Russians were killed just last December. By comparison, in December 2024, the Russians lost 14,000 personnel killed.

"Russia is not thinking about it. But we think about it. We think how they lose and how many soldiers they lose. We know that they mobilize 40–43 thousand per month, and they began to lose 35 (thousand)," the president said.

Zelenskyy added that of the 43,000 mobilized Russians, up to 15% run away (desert), and there are also wounded Russians, but the fact now is that the Russian army has stopped growing because Ukrainian drone operators and drone technologies are working effectively.

"But in anyway, we want to stop tomorrow this war," he added.

Russian losses from drones are increasing greatly. For example, just in the second ten days of January, the military of the Drone Coordination Center of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces (AAF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed or wounded almost 500 troops.

As of January 22, Russian losses in a single day amounted to more than 1,000 soldiers, nearly 700 drones, and 53 artillery systems. According to estimates from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, total Russian losses since February 24, 2022, amount to 1,230,810 personnel. This figure includes killed, wounded, captured, and missing Russians.
