Zelenskyy, Trump and leaders of Coalition of the Willing hold joint call – Media

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Donald Trump, and leaders of the Coalition of the Willing countries are holding a phone call, according to DW correspondent Mikhail Komadovsky and AFP correspondent Danny Kemp.
According to Komadovsky, citing unnamed sources, a phone conversation between President Trump, President Zelenskyy, and the Coalition of the Willing is currently underway.
Kemp confirmed the same information, referring to French AFP journalists.
The details of the talks remain unknown.
Zelenskyy’s plans for the call
Yesterday, September 3, Zelenskyy reminded that earlier, US President Donald Trump had promised to decide on sanctions against Russia within a few weeks if no meeting took place between Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Zelenskyy stressed that "a few weeks" means two or three, and he intended to clarify the timeline during the call with Trump.
Trump has been threatening Russia with sanctions and tariffs for several months, but has not yet taken concrete steps. His last postponement of sanctions followed his meeting with Putin in Alaska.
More details on the meeting are available in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
