President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a press conference today. The meeting with representatives of the media will be dedicated to this year's results.

In preparing the material, videos of previous press conferences and the press service of the Office of the President were used.

The announcement about the President's interaction with journalists was made known through a statement on the Office of the President's website. The meeting is scheduled for December 19.

Regarding the theme, judging by the title, it will likely cover the year's summary.

"On Tuesday, December 19, a year-end press conference of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will take place," according to the statement on the Office of the President's website.

However, the time and location of the press conference are not disclosed for security reasons.

Media accreditation details

Media representatives can accredit one correspondent, one cameraperson, and one photographer for the year-end press conference with the president.

Media accreditation is currently closed, as the deadline for applications passed yesterday at 16:00.

Journalists will be informed of the time and location of the event in the accreditation confirmation letter.

Zelenskyy's first record-breaking press conference

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's first major press conference took place in October 2019. Prior to that, the head of state had only participated in briefings and joint press events with world leaders.

At that time, the press conference at Kyiv Food Market lasted a remarkable 14 hours, setting a new world record for duration. Approximately 300 journalists were invited to the event.

What was the latest meeting between Zelenskyy and the media like

Additionally, it should be noted that the president last met with media representatives on June 6, when Ukraine celebrates Journalist Day. The meeting lasted only one and a half hours and took place at Mariinsky Palace in a roundtable format. Only 18 representatives from Ukrainian media were invited to the meeting.

Before this, President Zelenskyy held a major press conference on the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2023. The head of state answered questions in a live broadcast for about 2.5 hours, and approximately 320 journalists from 170 outlets, including foreign media, were accredited for the event.
